Infer Trust is a National Registered Charity Number 1080791.

The principal acitvities of the Trust are:-

  • to raise awareness of public health and safety issues with particular reference to the use of firearms and
  • to offer support and advice to those affected by gun violence.

How do we do this?

  • We work with a network of people; bereaved parents, victims of gun incidents, families of those injured, and others, offering support, advice and networking opportunities.
  • We collect data about incidents from the media, newspapers, internet websites etc.
  • We liaise with individuals, schools, local authorities, the Police, Councillors, Members of Parliament, Government Departments and other organisations, to raise awareness of gun misuse issues.
  • We commission research about gun misuse and related issues, and work with professionals engaged in this area of study.
  • We provide information for teachers, students, journalists and researchers and links to other sites which give information about gun misuse and related issues.

  • If you are aware of a gun incident which does not appear on our site so we can add it to our list.

Click on 'Gun Incidents' at the top of this page, and from the 'Issue type' drop down menu select a category, eg 'airsoft' etc. and read details of hundreds of incidents from all over the United Kingdom involving guns and imitation guns. 

Click on 'Gun Misuse' at the top of this page to read about the extent of gun misuse, and to find out who is involved.  Hover to see a drop down menu and select from pages containing statistical information, comment, international aspects and summaries. 

Click on 'Gun Types' to read about further options.  Hover to see a drop down menu.  Each page contains information for study topics, projects or research on problems associated with particular types of guns, eg. 'Airguns' etc.

Click on 'Gun Law' to read about further options and gun law elsewhere in the world.  Hover to see a drop down menu of pages containing information about three important pieces of current United Kingdom Firearms Legislation.

Click on 'Current Issues' to read information relating to the United Kingdom and elsewhere in the world.  Hover to see a drop down menu.  Each page contains details about issues of particular concern.  

Click on 'Links and Resources' for details about further options. Hover to see a drop down menu containing links to useful websites, details of other organisations etc. that may provide information for study topics, and information about medical and sociological etc. reports and articles regarding firearms issues.
