Summary:

A resident of Llandough, Glamorgan contacted the RSPCA after hearing three loud bangs and seeing a gull fall into her garden. The bird,  which was found to have suffered a snapped wing and an impact wound to its side, had to be put down. An air rifle pellet was discovered in its chest cavity. Gulls are protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.
